At 12-BM we have access to additional equipment that may be of use to Users. Also Available to the Users are two Laboratory spaces - a Dry Lab (Pellet Press, Tools, Counter Space) and a Wet Lab (Chemical use, Gas Flow, Fume Hood, Safety Eye/Shower).

Glovebox in XSD

Glovebox is available for beamlines of XSD group users as well as other trained users. To schedule use of the glovebox, please visit APS Electrochemistry Facility.

All glovebox users need to have the following:


Hutch Equipment

  • O2 Monitor
  • Ventilated Hutch, No HEPA Filter

Experimental Equipment

  • Gas Cabinet Capability (2 Gases) - High Concentration (H2, CO, Methane, etc.)
  • Mass Flow Controller (4 Gases) - Low/High Concentration (O2, CO, H2, He)

Dry Lab - 433 E020

  • Pellet Press (Safety Glasses)
  • Hand Tools (Proper Training)
  • Lab Equipment (Proper Training + Permission from Owner)

Chemistry Lab - 433 E030

  • PPE: Safety Glasses, Gloves
  • Safety Shower / Eye Wash
  • Chemical Fume Hood
  • Storage: Corrosives, Flammables
  • Disposal: Broken Glass, Sharps
  • Freezer and Low Temp Storage
